Tim Owen, MBA, is the President and CEO of the Neuro and Brain Community Foundation. Tim has 11 years of experience in the healthcare field.
Duane Blau is the Vice President of the Neuro and Brain Community Foundation. He graduated from University of Utah school of Physical Therapy in 1993. Duane specialized with Neuro Rehab for the past 20 years. Duane is a long-time member of the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association and the Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona. Duane is a regular volunteer for the Barrow Connection of St. Joseph’s Hospital helping people with neurological injuries enjoy outdoor activities including adapted water sports, driving, camping and scuba diving. Duane is certified in LSVT and PWR4LIFE treatment programs for Parkinson’s.
John Davis, MS, OT, BCN, IMC is Board Certified in Brain EEG Neuro Feedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). John is the only BCIA Certified Occupational Therapist in the state of Arizona, specializing in EEG Neuro Feedback. Additionally, he is certified in Interactive Metronome Training. John believes in an evidenced based approach utilizing the Quantitative Electro Encephalogram (QEEG) or Brain Map with a 19-channel assessment to guide treatment including Neuro Feedback, Interactive Metronome and other Occupational Therapy intervention. He has over 16 years of experience in the clinical setting. John is the co-founder and Secretary of Neuro and Brain Community Foundation, Inc. The foundation was established to provide therapy services and continuing research for individuals affected by neurological disorders.
Derek Adams, BS, CPT is the Treasurer of Neuro and Brain Community Foundation. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University in 2014. Derek has worked in the health care field for the last five years, including working as a chiropractic assistant. He also is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and certified in Interactive Metronome (IM) and IM-Home. When not dedicated to improving the health of others, Derek enjoys the competition of any physical activity involving a ball, Frisbee or water. Interested in continuing his education, Derek is presently working on his certification in neurofeedback.
